Hola, I’m Cindy!
Founder & Creative Director of Simpl Studio
As a Latina immigrant, my journey began with a deep-seated passion for sustainability and design. I’ve always believed that every act of kindness towards our planet, animals, and humans can create a ripple effect, spreading abundance and positive change.
After spending more than eight years in corporate marketing across manufacturing and retail industries, I witnessed businesses trapped in ineffective design and marketing strategies. These approaches created marketing waste, consumed time, and generated unnecessary pollution. They felt drowned by their branding because they lacked a clear and authentic message, focusing only on profit.
Meanwhile, I started taking on independent branding projects on the side for small businesses that care about people and the planet but were struggling to transmit their message and core principles to their users. They were either too busy to put together an authentic branding and strategy that connected with their brand and users, or they were just taking the easy path of doing greenwashing campaigns without a real purpose behind them.
Either way, their branding and messaging became diluted, they weren't reaching their ideal customers, and their businesses were suffering.
Seeing these challenges inspired me to blend my human-centered design and marketing experience with sustainability. I aimed to develop innovative solutions that went beyond aesthetics designs that tell real stories, drive significant changes, and create genuine connections.
